Frequently Asked Questions

Great question. First and foremost, both grades of cloth we sell are excellent cloth options. Championship Invitational is the most common choice for social players with home tables. It is a woolen cloth that has a Teflon treatment from the factory to prevent stains and maintain a great appearance. We would consider Invitational the “best bang for the dollar” cloth and offers 23 color options.

Championship Tour Edition cloth is the choice of cloth for serious players or those wanting the truest level of play on their table. It is a worsted cloth that does not offer a Teflon treatment, but offers a faster speed of play and is more durable for tables that see a lot more play. Most of your commercial establishments will have Tour Edition or another worsted cloth option.

No. In most cases, the cloth can be reinstalled without issue. However, there is a tremendous savings in having the cloth replaced at the time of a move since we are already on site and have the table disassembled. It is a great time to change the color or grade of the cloth. Savings can run as high as $150 over a recloth service by itself.

Pricing varies on a number of factors for recovering pool tables. Size of table, type of table, type of cloth, etc. All of these factors can vary greatly and need to be discussed before any pricing is finalized. Foundational costs can be found on our Services Page. However, we recommend a conversation with one of our table specialists to help you determine the best solution for your particular needs and budget.

Installation times can vary depending on a number of factors. When you setup your appointment with our team, they should be able to give you some timeframes for the work to be completed. On average, installation times range from 2-5 hours.

Selecting a pool table, much like choosing a house or car, is largely driven by personal preferences and priorities. While some individuals revel in the excitement of acquiring something brand new, others are willing to embrace the potential risk involved in the pursuit of a great deal. Ultimately, it comes down to balancing your preferences for quality, longevity, and budget.

For those who prioritize affordability over longevity and performance, you could find a brand new pool table for as little as $500. However, these lower-cost options usually lack slate foundations and solid wood frames, which are integral to durability and exceptional gameplay. On the other hand, premium-quality pool tables, retailing for several thousand dollars, ensure a superior playing experience that lasts.

Generally, we advocate for buying used pool tables due to several reasons. Firstly, pool tables tend to depreciate significantly, and given the saturated second-hand market, sellers rarely recoup their initial investment, especially if they need to move, downsize or change their lifestyle. This circumstance turns into an advantage for buyers, who can acquire excellent tables at a fraction of their retail cost. Additionally, if you need to resell your table, you’re likely to recoup most, if not all, of your initial investment, avoiding the brunt of depreciation.

The trick to buying a used pool table lies in knowing what to look for and how much to pay. This requires a certain degree of knowledge and experience with pool tables, which is where we come in. For a modest commission fee, we can assist you in identifying your needs, establishing a budget, and sourcing a table that aligns with your preferences. As a result, our clients typically spend between $1,500 – $1,750 for a professionally moved, set-up, and reconditioned table that would have otherwise cost them $4,000 – $6,000.

Combining the costs of moving and setting up a used table with any necessary updates (like cushion and felt replacement), you could end up owning a remarkable pool table for less than half of its original retail cost. If you’re interested in this value-driven approach, we’d be delighted to guide you through the process. Just give us a call, and let us assist you in making the best choice.

Relocating a pool table is no trivial task. Unlike conventional pieces of furniture, pool tables are designed to be assembled in one place and remain there indefinitely. If you need to move one, the worst approach would be to rally a group of people to tip it on its side and haul it through the door. Such a method risks damaging the table and even causing injury.

Indeed, most pool tables require complete disassembly for safe transportation, moved piece by piece. This is why professional services like ours charge a premium for this intricate task. Special tools and expertise are crucial to dismantle, transport, and reassemble the table correctly.

When purchasing a used table, it’s vital to factor in the cost of a professional service for relocation and setup. This ensures the protection of your investment and guarantees the optimal playing environment.

To the best of our ability, yes. We get pictures while tables are assembled at pick up site. However, all tables go through an inspection and reconditioning phase once back in our custody. So the picture would actually be the “worst” image available of the table, as the cloth is new and chosen by customers, and any dressing up of table is taken care of as well before delivery. To stand by our commitment, we offer a 100% money back guarantee that all of our tables will meet, if not exceed, our customers expectations upon delivery and setup. If not, we refund money, pack up and return home. We have yet to have to honor this warranty.
